£50 houses cleaned in heavy rain
« on: December 12, 2013, 04:30:39 pm »
i had a few £50 houses booked in first thing this morning(all are texted the night before)6 weekly jobs a little bit out of my way.

drove up there this morning and it was absolutely hammering it down!so i had a brew in the van and had a chat with girlfriend on the phone.an hour later its still heavy rain(10-30am) so i decided to just crack on.

now i work in the rain but this morning it was BAD!!anyway all customers were in and paid me.NOT ONE CUSTOMER EVEN MENTIONED THE RAIN!!no tips but got a xmas card off one of em. ;D ;D

just goes to show most customers are not bothered about the weather!

happy days!! ;) :D

I have 2 £60.00 houses booked in for Monday... if there is any chance of rain I wont be doing them! far to much of a risk to loose even if I explain its fine in the rain etc.

I only work in very light rain... im a wuss and cant handle loosing jobs! ???

So if you started as you say at 10.30 and they are big houses at £50 per pop and I take it you have to setup at and pack away at each job then move onto the next one how long does it take you to do each one then?

Out of interest would you post a pic of an example house that you would charge 50 for? Would just like to see the difference in the prices I charge

about the same size ian, maybe a bit bigger.all have double garages(i wash down the garage doors as well).

i just wish i had a months work of the buggers!! ::)roll ;D ;D ;D

a few turned me down when canvassing some of the other houses.i think they thought i was expensive!!i always add an extra tenner on the price i think i would normally charge(rich tax and driving up there!) ;D

I clean a lot of house like that, got an estate full of them, 20 houses or so.

I feel embarrassed at how little I charge compared to that. Lol.

Daz,

I believe those whom live in more expensive houses understand that your a business, years back, when working Council estates, would let me clean if the sky had a black cloud lol, needless to say, that was in the beginning :)
Life used to be full of up's and downs....now i hardly ever get up a ladder :) .

i think im at risk of being undercut on this type of work but its 10 miles from home so you have to factor in travel time as well.i do a good job each and every time though.
