alcohol removal
« on: March 29, 2015, 10:28:09 pm »
Hi guys.

Any tips on removing alcohol from tough vynal flooring? We are currently using floor stripper. Squeeging  off and removing liquid then mopping over another 2 times to try and stop the dance floor being sticky. As you can imagine this takes a long time as the vynal is approx 40 x 30 meters.

I'm thinking of investing in a scrubber dryer to cut time but any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Jamie, just to let you know floor strippers are very corrosive and for your own benefit you should not be using them for cleaning vinyl floors as from continuous use they will cause detrimental damage to vinyl surfaces, ask your janitorial supplier for a hard surface cleaner that is safer for vinyl floors, if you are going to purchase a scrubber dryer for maintaining these floors you can use a neutral floor cleaner in combination with microfiber floor cleaning  pads which are available in different diameters and you will achieve safer and effective results.

Ah ok it was my janitorial supplier that recommended the floor stripper lol

Thanks for the advice I will ask for a good hard floor cleaner and give it a try.
