Got a terracotta floor to clean (16 square metres) and the cust wants the grout colour changing. It currently has a floor polish on it by a company called Benton 'no buff floor polish' - just says contains polymer emulsion. The polish seems to come off with heavy duty tile and grout cleaner. Would it be worth using a 220 grit honing powder as the customer does not like the shiny look of the tiles at present. Once the tile and grout is clean do you have to wait until the grout is completely dry before applying grout colourant?

OK I will try and break this down a bit.  The Heavy Duty Tilke & Grout Cleaner is doing it's job!  OK you could use a little honing powder as a boost but my choice would be Aqua Mix NanoScrub in this instance.  Yes you need to let the grout dry before grout colouring but it is extremely difficult to apply grout colourant to Terracptta because the colourant attached too well to the terracotta and is very difficult to remove therefore too darken the grout I woulkd seal the whole floor with Aqua Mix Enrich N Seal this will darken the grout and tiles, leave a wet look but no sheen and give up to 15 yeaers protection.
