Hello guys
A quick question on this machine
There is one of these for sale local to me, does anyone use one of these that can share some info.
I went to see it last night, machine not been used since last summer but started up no probs, and a few mins later I could feel the tube on the lance getting hot, so all seemed to be ok. I did notice the boiler gives off a fair bit of smoke, is this due to not being ran we only ran it for 5 mins or so once I felt tube going hot I turned it off.
Also Will this machine draw from a tank, we tested it with it being hose fed from a tap
Thanks guys
Any info guys would be appreciated

I’ve used similar but they are always tap fed - they have a small tank inside the cowl
Yes these things can smoke like an old steam train !
Have a look here for more info

I think they are OK for valeting in a car lot or similar . I don’t think I would want to use one on drivesand similar. But have a chat with Ben at Rutland he will give you a genuine opinion.

I hope ur doing well I know u avnt been in the best of health
It made good reading and does say hose fed on manual 🙈

Maybe similar this is more like a van mounted in a frame but nothing van mounted about it if it don't draw water from the tank, this is the whole idea to have everything within the van
I spoke with Ben a while back regarding going hot but, he not a man to make a deal happen unfortunately
Thanks guys al keep looking
I did read a post off Darran regarding Q washers on eBay, I think using a hot box is the easiest and most convenient way to go ..... A 12v one that is 😂
They have a van mounted one on a little frame I spotted the other day on eBay

You surprise me with Ben! He is not pushy as a salesman but certainly seems to know his stuff. I think he likes to let you make your own mind up once he has offered his opinion

Always found Ben very friendly and helpful, certainly better than q washers anyway

HI Matt !
over the worst, but still have what they are calling a compressed nerve - just means I am unable to walk properly - I dearly hope they get it sorted soon as work load is mental
Ben is great and can do you a great deal - but easily distracted and unless you wish to keep ringing him will just forget what you want - personally updating P/W's and need 4 new ones but Ben has yet to answer 2 emails so I would rather goto someone that will give me service
try A1 Pressure washers in Ipswich - if your brave enough mention my name
or defo talk to these guys - they seem to be offering some great prices at the moment - but haven't used them yet

In no way shape or form has Ben done out wrong he's a propa decent guy, and helpful. I bought all my set up off him and have kept in touch buying bits as I go along when things brake etc
Only good things to say about him he's propa sound guy
I asked him to do a deal on new machines and hot box set up which meant me owing him funds still an paying him the rest over 3 month to have whole new set up built, this is not suton he wanted to do which is totally understandable.
Originally I would have liked to have just bought all new but jet washing is an add on for us so AV now decided to get into it on the cheap to see wot we can or can't do with it.
The karcher above would have done he wanted around the 1400 mark and similar ones are going for more just didn't suck out of tank when we tried.. I really liked this machine fitted perfect between rear wheel arches but hey ho
Looking at them ac pressure washers and there hot boxes look very nice, and are only in Bolton which isn't to far to go.
There hot box set ups are very nice indeed and I like it with the control panel.... I will give these a call and see wots wot with them
Thanks guys

These machines do suck from a tank,
I had one a few years back trailer mounted with a 1000ltr tank and retractable hose a company in Horsham makes them called trafalger cleaning designed for graffiti removal and all exterior cleaning you can run a whirl away of one

Hi Guys,
Just jumping on this conversation about pressure washers. I guess they are down to personal choice etc. but just looking for a reliable source to purchase one from.
I have Rutland written down, if you have a contact number for Ben?
I have also used Trafalger Cleaning, some time ago, when i bought a Karcher (electric) not your b&q type pressure washer, its a heavy domestic version, plenty of power with it , hasn't let me down for sure.
However, have now decided to go for a petrol version, so will contact the above unless anyone has any other suggestions.
I do want to run a FSC from it and would need a dirt blaster for the lance, also need it to pull water from a tank so i'm thinking
3 to 4, 000 (psi) and min of 15 litres of water per minute, does this sound about right for heavy domestic/light commercial.
Thanks in advance guys
Steve
