Quoted for a job and the customer got back to me today and told me " We'll be going with another company as they are only £5 for all windows and frames "    :o :o :o :o

What would you charge for the two top bay windows and one bottom bay window  ??? ???

someone on here said, if you get every job you quote for then you are probably too cheep, good advice in my opinion, however, those three windows there i would not charge more than 6-7 pound for and would clean it in under 5 mins

It probably could be done for a fiver on maintenance cleans and be viable if you were already set up with WFP and doing neighbours' houses .  Trouble is, you can never rely on that.  I've underpriced before due to having lots of work in the same road.  OK when everybody wants them cleaned.  Not OK if they die/move away/otherwise cancel.  Those three bays would qualify for my minimum charge of £12.

I'd tell them that I couldn't do it because I don't like windows anymore.

Near me is a rank of 40 like this (except the smaller window isn't faceted). I do 15 of them on a mix of monthly and two monthly fronts only if not home, rears as well if in.

I charge for fronts between £6.50 and £8.00 including front door depending on whether monthly or two monthly and if there is an extension window above the garage.

Another windie charges a fiver and as far as I can tell he has three of the rank and another windy charges a tenner and he has two.

This is on the basis that there are enough to make it doable in only three van moves.
It's a game of three halves!

.....I'd tell them £10 minimum, if a neighbour falls in for their whole house I'd put it down to eight, gives them an incentive to tell the neighbours.....
