Why would I lie I've never lied on here before tell it like it is I'm not saying if got them yet I said if they all come off it would be about an extra 70grand turnover, yet I didn't go in to detail about how much each job would cost me to run I.e cherry picker hire, abseiled etc etc

No secret mate been a mixed bag of leads really

One we called in at to basically enquiry jobs huge but thought why not got the contractors details n she asked us to quote for this an another site as seriously over due

She has 72 other sites too so finger crossed

One is a high school which we have quoted on got a heads up from caretaker when doing primary school

One today we rang coffee chain and they said about a factory behind them were after a window cleaner as they had called into ask who they use

Today we worked on a car dealership pressure washing and gutter clearing and they were pleased so will be getting further sites

You can't do that...

If the tax man found out you would be liable for VAT on total turnover.

nope if you are limited you can split business into 2 entitys ( 2 areas easily ) they have to be 2 clearly visible, seperate  ,paper trail inclusive projects.
i was discussing this yesterday with accountant. unless i misheard him , ???

Hi,

As far as I am aware you can't do this. It's called "passing off" I think...

Basically if both businesses are under your control and are carrying out principly the same type of work in the same industry they both have to be VAT registered.

You can not just run them as two separate entities on paper to avoid VAT. Our accountant, ex tax inspector, put us straight pretty quickly.

Cheers,

Huw

if 2 seperate sets of full detailed accounts ,doesnt matter surely ???
you can run 2 different businesses thru one retail outlet, and you have 2 lots of accounts and can prove they are standalone.

anyways m8 best of luck ..

Hello,

So do you think you could keep splitting the business up, but with only you in overall control, so that you maybe had four residential rounds turning over 50k a year each and never have to register for VAT?

I don't think so...

Cheers,

Huw
