What's your plans for next year
« on: November 22, 2011, 05:05:38 pm »
I'm planning on starting a new ltd company.

My list of things to do.

1. Gutter Cleaning.
2. Glass Scratch/Graffiti Removal.
3. Graffiti Removal.
4. Pressure Washing
5. Carpet Cleaning.
6. General Cleaning.
7. Steam Cleaning.
8. IPAF License.

Any other ideas of additional services I could offer?

I'd like to know your plans for next year.

Work hard, get paid and get laid!

No I want to leave my job and start my own round off in the new year. Hopefully fill my books by next christmas to give my family the christmas they deserve and maybe a holiday the year after. Never took my family abroad, I'd love to see my wifes face. She loves the sun but the most exotic country I've took her to is Wales. Don't get me wrong I love Wales but a change is as good as a rest.

My goal for next year is to match my domestic turnover with commercial work... I only have 2 commercial jobs at the moment, but a large(ish) domestic round.

I tend to limit the "extras" that I do and stick as much as possible with windows.  This seems to be easier for my head rather than chopping and changing.  I started my accounting year on October 1st.  I have a turnover target to aim for (not divulging it here though) and I am a sole trader. I'm slightly behind it at the moment because I needed to have some lighter days due to what I think was carpal tunnel syndrome (it's intermittent).  That seems to have passed and I'm flying again.

Mine is to make a go of being 100% commercial.

As from Dec 1st I will have no more houses. As long as I keep adding to the commercial client base everything should be fine...hopefully

I'm exactly the same now... All I do is take on repeat window cleaning work, can't be bothered with chasing one offs etc...

apart from prices rises in april and picking up work through word of mouth and recommendation(maybe a little bit of canvassing every now and then)im very happy with my round.i dont have to slog it out 7 days a week either to make enough money to live and tuck some away for a rainy day!

life is good! ;D ;D

spending more time having holidays and weekend breaks is defo on the cards for me next year.hopefully missus will have better health and we can go on our jollies.

ive splashed out this year on an slx and a few other good pieces of equipment and virtually refurbished my whole flat with new cooker, tiles, sofas, carpets, bedroom furniture, blinds, coffee tables etc.if ive not been window cleaning ive been putting together loads of ikea flatpack stuff!!im sick of it now!just a double wardrobe and bedside tables to do then im done!! ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

1. Get rid of small stand alone jobs - the ones that take 20 minutes to get there all for £8 then 20 mins back to main part of round
2. Compact by canvassing neighbours
3. Employ a van lad part time at first
4. Get turnover up to £---- use your own imagination
5. Earn enough to get missus outta her crappy job
6. Get my £30 off Bob Plumb  ;D

1-Increase customer base/turnover/profit
2-Get rid of any messers/awkward customers
3-Review prices on certain rounds with possible increases
4-Build up a cash reserve to purchase other wc rounds
5-Increase commercial customers

Not much different from what im doing now but just build and improve
