Spinner questions ?
« on: March 22, 2012, 09:18:40 am »
Hello all,

Just recently purchased a hard floor spinner and have got a couple of questions.

Should the brush round the bottom of the spinner go right round or should there be a gap were the two ends join.

Secondly, should the spay jets both be at 45 degrees or should one be at about 65 degrees.

Thanks in advance

Jets should be same angle.

Some have a gap. The brush is only to provide airflow so it wont really matter.

Wouldn't the gap reduce the vacuum?

It is a wesypak 14"

The gap is 2"

Having trouble uploading pics, so I will send them to your info email, you should be able to see the jets then.

Spenta small fortune on an SX12 last year and hardly use it as a rotary and wet vac seem to suffice.

Question to the hard floor gurus is it worth hanging on to?

Where indoor work is concerned I only advocate a single speed Mono Rotary with a bit of weight or the capability of adding some weight and a decent Wet Vac.  I cannot see the point of dragging spinners indoors.  Like other things I think spinners are great outside in the right situation and I have quite a few spinners most of them with Vac Take offs which we use outside but having said that sometimes I find a Rotary and Vac better in some exterior situations.  Finally the water removal with a spinner is only as good as the Vac unit removing it.

We only use ours on poolside maintenance of porcelain. There is no doubt it is faster in this situation.
The sites are done on a monthly basis so never really dirty but definately faster than a rotary and wet vac for this application.

Simple answer: if you have the work for it keep it.
