Pads at my age?
« on: May 25, 2009, 12:29:27 pm »

When it's warm or hot I like to wear shorts, but recently Ive noticed abit of wear and tear on my knees (too many stair treads cleaned), so Im thinking of reverting back to work trousers and wearing knee pads....

Does anyone else wear knee pads when cleaning stairs or am I going OTT??

In the summer, I too wear shorts and knee pads. When I wear trousers, I will use knee pads most of the time on stairs, but occasionally I just couldn't be bothered to go to the van so work in a crouch rather than kneeling.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Kneeling whilst cleaning stairs :o   Surely with the right sized stair tool this is not required

Your right there Paul, since I got my 7.75" wide long handled stair tool, stairs are done at a much quicker rate such that there is no time to be on my knees.

People like me have been cleaning stairs with a 4" hand tool for so long, I'm stuck in my ways and just can't get on with my modern stair tool. It's in the van but only comes out for half landings.

Kneeling isn't a problem, it's the getting back up afterwards. It's an (old) age thing :'(

Safe and happy kneeling :)
