Title: Booster pump
Post by: jonny thompson on April 06, 2021, 09:49:38 pm
Our water pressure has dropped to between 1-2 bar, taking ages to fill up 2 vans, what are the best booster pumps, and can they be left on overnight

Haven’t you asked this question a few times in the past?

Well it depends on the RO you have.
40/40 or one of those small 450gpd or less things?

I sometimes use a pump in a box from the cleaning warehouse . I use it with a timer plug set for say 6 hrs

Hi John, there was a thread not long ago. X-line do one, I have the exact same one. Give me a FaceTime call this evening if you want.

That's what I use.
If it's a 4040 ro then consider one of these. They are rotary vane pumps and rated for continual use.

Mine is used all the time for my 4040. My pressure without was 25-30 psi. With it it's a consistent 100. Fills my 600 L IBC static tank in  3 hours from a mains supply tds of 300 down to 006.  Could have bought cheaper but couldn't be bothered faffing around mounting and fitting barbed reducers etc. . Hoselock in hoselock out and plug in the mains, brilliant !
