The post was not a dig at you! I just wondered why you tried that method and now Jamie has provided a perfectly logical answer. I will try and get Tony ( my son) to post some pictures later today of a recent sealer strip we did. Not an identical problem but a very similar problem with the same Labour intensive cost implications. These floors cause a continuous issue and often if the height is available, levelling and over coating or laying a new surface is a faster and less expensive option.
