Thinking About a Regular Quiz - Who's Up
« on: February 01, 2013, 09:20:49 am »
As title I am thinking about doing a regular quiz on here.  It would not just be stone related it would involve other things as well but a great way of learning unless of course you cheat and google the answers ::)  Then you learn SFA!

How many would be up for it?

I think it's a great idea, well done Kev.

The more hard floor related the better because you'll get people going on your courses for even more knowledge.

Craig Slight from nice-n-white will help you out,if not, know a man who can.

Kevin,

You seem to be responding to people's posts very aggressively, which I feel doesn't show you in a good light. Are your posts not biased toward advertising your own products through a thin veil of information?

Professional courtesy is something that should be extended online and offline, do you not agree?

Dave

I don't respond to any posts agressively!  What you mean is I am responding to Jasons posts in a way you don't like!

In a nutshell you and Jason have come on here to advertise Universeal products!  The only posts you have responded to are posts that I have responded to all in an effort to promote Universeal.  I clearly promote Aqua Mix & LTP products when I answer peoples posts for two reasons:

1.  Primarily The methods or solutions I offer work and the products work!  FACT!!  The information I offer is not read out of books they are tried and tested day in day out!
2.  I want to make money from the products I sell!  YES I dobut I also pay a great deal of money to support this forum.

I suggest you both start to offer general advice without promoting products first then contact Admin and pay them to promote the products!
Alternatively stick to your own forum and client base!!!

OK

Kevin,

The post I initially made was no different to any you have made previously. As many on here know, I am a floor restorer and have used these products and many more, including Aquamix.

The users on here could learn a lot from Jason and I.

Thank you Kevin,

We're looking at advertising on the forum and thought it best to use a business name to coincide with the banner. I noticed Jamie does a similar so thought that was acceptable.

Admin, is more than welcome to delete our other account as it's not been used.

I look forward to posting more information. Whilst we do have differences of opinion, I'm pretty sure we share common values and a love for our work.

The general consensus of opinion appears to be that a Quiz would be welcome!

I have therefore decided to set a Quiz once a month on a Trial basis.  I will try to set this quiz at around 8pm on either the 1st or last Sunday of a month.  In the interests of fairness and so that we have a wide variety of questions on various subjects I have invited over 30 different people from all areas of cleaning and restoration to set questions and supply the correct answers to each question.  I have also invited them to contribute an item towards the overall prize for the winner!

RULES:

1.  You must be a member of the CIU to enter and have at least 5 posts.
2.  No question setter or any employee of that company may enter.
3.  All answer sheets must be e mailed to terrycottar1@gmail.com with Full Name, Company & Contact details.
4.  In the event of a tie all parties will be notified.
5.  We will then publish a Tie Break question which must be answered on the Forum.
6.  The first correct answer will be deemed the winner!

Please read this and let me know if there should be any other rules, I have missed anything that should be included or there are any ambiguities I should address.

Kind Regards
