Tile Doctor v Marble Life
« on: January 24, 2012, 09:05:31 am »
I have today had someone on the telephone stating that he had been told that the Tile Doctor course was the same as the Marble Life Restoration course.

This statement is not true.

I hear they make a better cup of tea at Tile Doctor though.

Having sampled yours I must book on their course to test this malicious rumour.

Sorry. I was referring to when I visited a year or so back.
Nice new labels on the honing/poultice powder.
I now know how to use it as it has instructions.
One of my guys did ask me what the dilution rate was?  ::)
I hope (for his sake) he was pulling my chain.

Sending them quote today 80% of it vertical.   Yes arms ache even more these days.  Klindex Vertika weighs about 2kg when you start and somehow increases in weight by the minute mate so nothing has changed however costs are proportionate as well.  Vertical Work is a lot more expensive ;) ;) ;)

Hi Kevin,
My name is Russell Taylor I run the Tile Doctor course, I dont normally bother with General Cleaning Forums but I was told of your misleading and untrue allegations about us so I thought it would be best top respond in  person and put you right. about a few things.
1. First  of all  if you had been down to see us operting our Training courses you would realise it is all hands on Training < not theory,we leave that to The Tile Doctor Manual for the Tile Doctors to study in their own time > .
2. Unlike most of the Tile Cleaning courses I come from a Tiling background, 6 years in Tile Retail in The Northwest and 2 years as a self employed Tiler, of the last 10 years I have been a Tile Doctor to boot, so our experience is all hands on and passed down to our Tile Doctors.
3. Nobody signs a form to say that they must only buy our Products and nobody elses on our Starter courses, so get your facts right, this would be pretty absurd of us dont you think, if However you are talking about Advanced Tile Doctors then thats a different matter, as we do a free website for all Advanced Tile Doctors free updates for the website, free leads for the area they are covering and free advice if they get stuck on a job, provided they only buy Tile Doctor products for Tile Doctor jobs, I think that is very fair, so whoever i giving you your info isnt a Tile Doctor Otherwise you would have got this right instead of trying to mislead people.
4 Refer to answer 3
5 We dont use Aqua-mix and we had stopped using them for Quite a lot of things even before they pulled out of the U.K last year, Aqua-mix had some good products but not everything they made was brilliant, so we have been sourcing our own for quite a while now.
6 Our prices reflect the general prices on offer on any Tile shop website,  < again get your facts right > if they didnt then I am sure we wouldnt sell Tens of thousands of pounds of stock every month.
In Addition we have had quite a few people that have been on your course and then to us and told us how Arrogant you are and cant be told anything.
We are the only Training course for Tile Cleaning in the country that has a limit of 3 people on any one course, this is because we firmly believe in Hands on Training approach and to many people get left out, thats why We set the limit and the standards on our Training courses.
Your examples on pricing are about 5 years out of date, so its not worth answering to these, your info is not as good as you think it is, I can only think you have been talking to Ian Taylor ex Aquamix guy, who I belive helps you with your  Training courses as you dont have enough experience to be able to do it yourself.

I have no intention of getting into a slanging match with you.  My post was no slur on your experience or on you personally.  It was based on facts and information from several Tile Doctors as you call them and your website and if your prices are 5 years out of date then it is time to update them!

Seems like a Threat, you have already made it personal, you should read your posts before you put it out there and No I havent met you and cant see any benefit from doing so.
Good luck to your business but slagging off other peoples business is not the way to increase your own estate, its lame Childish, Conceited And frankly beyond me to be bothered in getting into a e-mail ping pong match with you, all I will say If you do meet me at a show or something like that turn around and walk the other way very quickly, I wont tolerate attitude from People.

Could you tell me about Tile Doctor Colour Grow, was reading the information on it and looks very similar to LTP Colour Intensifier!?
If so yours is £125.00/5Ltr and LTP is £88.66 that is from there website so I'm sure it's a up to date price.

If it's not the same product then how would you say they would differ? And what makes yours more expensive that one of the leading brands?

That's not really a answer really is it.....

In what way do they differ? what makes yours the "merc" and the other "skoda" or the other way round.

Russell and Kevin,

Please let's not have a personal arguement on here it serves no purpose to the forum and to you and your businesses, we do NEED your input and experience I/we would much prefer you to pass your knowledge through positive posts where potential customers can benefit.

The thread will be left open perhaps you may want to edit some posts for future readers as not to give them the wrong impressions.

If I asked you why your TM is better than a single vac porty you would tell me.  If a supplier classes there products as far better than anothers then they should back up that statment with facts other wise they could be misleading forum members into buying a more expensive product that is no better than the cheaper product.

Hi Shaun,
Quite right, not interested in getting into a slagging match with Kevin Martin, but if someone says something that not true then you have to defend yourself, so I set the record straight, thats done now, time to move on.
