Scotch lock connectors, avoid them like the plague.

I ripped all of these out of my van some time ago because they are no good, they are responsible for all sorts of electrical problems.

I thought I had a dead leisure battery about a year back, battery was fine, it was the scotchlock connector. Split relay charge played up, again scotchlock connector. Varistream acting funny, scotchlok. Electronic float valve had problems, twice, flooded the van, twice. Never understood what the problem was, but took out the scotchlok connectors, again fine. I've had my backpack cutting out after 20 seconds for some time now, again the scotchlok connector!!

Easy to use, but you'll be ripping your hair out before you realise the problems come from these things. Not sure exactly what the reason is behind these failing, but slicing into copper wires doesn't seem to be all that great. Never had any problems with crimp terminals and connectors.
