I only started sending them a few years ago but I really appreciate my customers and it helps massively with tips (now i dont collect anymore).i still usually get £500+ tips every year which comes in handy.ive even got my own stamp now so no hand writing out 200+ cards! ;D(which I used to do a few years ago!)

You're worse than my Mrs. She's written all our cards and wrapped all the presents already and it's not even fireworks night yet!

I think the amount of Xmas tips we get this year will be an indicator as to how the economy is. Get the same as last year and we're alright 👍

Might be me but not being bothered to write your name and having a stamp instead is  imo pretty impersonal . Bit like getting a Christmas card from the estate agents

Did you do slightly too many cards when you did an extra 74 last year, Daz?

So, you went to the Maldives to have a nice relaxing time with your hot Mrs and you spent most of it checking replies on a window cleaning forum and writing 329 postcards? The mind boggles.

There are certain Customers who will give you a Card with your Tip in .
They deserve a card back .    Especially if they live on there own    Hubby or Mrs passed away.      They will be overjoyed you have remembered them .   and drop them a card off.
Once you start doing this they will be expecting it every year     haha.
Its just a way of showing your appreciation  for being a loyal paying customer

Hello Daz

The way the price of stamps is going you’ll be out of pocket

I have a sticker the size of a 50p
I stick it on the back of the customers bill envelope

Sticker has a picture of Father Christmas
Reads merry Christmas from dcs window cleaning

If there in I wish them merry Xmas
Last year was a record £600

I think 🤔 I worked out £2 for every customer average last year was over £3

Only find 20-30% of customers tip
And it’s time sensitive to about 3 weeks before Xmas mainly

As have had same customers tip 1 year and not the next only thing different was how close to Xmas their clean was

I’m not expecting much this year 😀

I use an ink stamp not actual stamps from the post office mate!(to stamp inside the Xmas cards).😄😄

I use small square Xmas  cards.costs me around £15 for 200.i post them when I clean their windows on the last clean before Xmas.(I start next week)

I used to give out Xmas cards to all of our customers, but then i realised that it appears only about 10% actually seem to care, and we spend alot of money on the xmas cards as they are fully company branded.

I decided last year to just give out xmas cards to our favourite customers, and the money i saved i gave to our staff as a christmas bonus which was a decent chunk of money.  That seemed to work out well!

I don't give out Christmas cards because:
1. I can't be bothered and
2. I think the customer then feels obliged to give you a card (which is an unnecessary burden).
However, booze and gifts are wholeheartedly accepted.
Every year I tell my customers, that the money I would have spent sending out cards for them and my other customers, is now sent to charity.
Every year our family donates about £95 ish for 'Crisis at Christmas'.
