The trad v wfp has been done to death.
What you may not realise a lot of wfp users on here started off as trad.
I think in this day and age a window cleaner should be able to use both methods most suited to the job in hand as there are pro's and con's for both.

Window vacs, reminds me of steam floor mops its reckoned that there are millions of steam floor mops stored in cupboards under stairs and will be left there until eventually they will end up in the rubbish bin or a skip on a spring clear out. Probably fair to say window vacs are heading in the same direction.

One of my customers asked me how to stop the karcher window vac to stop leaving dirty water mark lines on the insides of her windows, I told her they are a waste of time and I would happily do it for 30 notes ( quick 10 minute job) ... She declined

I would have said when using a window vac try not to leave any stop start marks and if you do wipe them over with a dry clean microfibre cloth and see if that helps. If not then let me know as I would be happy to do the insides aswell for x amount.

It's a case I think of trying to be helpful as goes a long way with customers and they will think more of you than just saying a window vac is rubbish  I will do it for x amount.  ;D

I would agree about being helpful with the customer by explaining to them that its not possible to clean glass properly with any make or model window vac.

Thing is I know it's possible to get good enough results with a karcher window vac Tadge as I've got one so why would I lie. ;D
Like any tool you just need to know how to use it properly and if need be wipe any stop start marks off the glass and detail the edges.  Job done  :P

Hi Smurf, i have to say at best they are just a gimmick, so lets just agree to disagree when it comes to cleaning glass properly with a window vac.  Tadgh
