As my previous post regarding GVS
And the help of others
I’ve been looking at putting something together as title ^
doing some maths
A cheap 3000 watt wido wet dry vac smudger recommended £210
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WET-AND-DRY-VAC-VACUUM-CLEANER-INDUSTRIAL-80L-LITRE-3000W-CARWASH-HOOVER-Wido-/331992974424
GVS new lightest aerospace poles 25 ft with tools and bag £199
https://www.guttervacuumsystems.co.uk/product/worlds-lightest-aluminium-gutter-cleaning-pole-kit-25ft/
Heavy duty extension reel £72
https://www.guttervacuumsystems.co.uk/product/230v-3600w-heavy-duty-extension-reel/
**# cyclonic inlet upgrade kit 51mm & 5metres Hose £126
https://www.guttervacuumsystems.co.uk/product/cyclonic-inlet-upgrade-complete-kit/
Total so far £607
Bit I’m not sure on is the cyclonic upgrade kit
Which marries wet dry vac I’ve shown to poles.
Also I know ally poles not perfect but video
On New aerospace 25 ft ally poles shows Julie (is it ?)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cwy8nhkO4kE
Lifting complete ally pole setup one handed!
They recommend not adding anymore poles
To this set as pole wall thickness is thinner
But 25 foot is enough for most houses up to 2 storey and above conservatories
Have I missed anything anyone🤔
Many thanks lee
Thanks for all your advice everyone
Raining on and off today not been out yet 🤦♂️
Today would be a perfect gutter clearing day or half day 😁💰

Camera mount £8
https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/alloy-camera-mount.html
Camera, link courtesy of one of you guys 👍
Not sure if it screws into gardiner mount🤔
£30
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Campark-ACT76-Action-Camera-4K-Ultra-HD-WiFi-Waterproof-Sports-Cam-DV-Camcorder-/152817230740
Still under £650

I wouldn't buy that reel
Get a coil of artic flex
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B075F8YR1K/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Better rating and cheaper - you can buy a blank (empty) reel for £10 on eBay and put a 16 amp water proof socket one end and when you get a vac change the 3 pin for a mating 16 amp

Thanks for that Smudger 👍
Was getting excited as thought vat was going
Down
It is but hot food hospitality industry
Not on wfp equipment 🙆🏻♂️
Or wet and dry vacs!

You only get what you pay for.
A decent set will cost you just over the £1000 mark plus camera kit.
Buy cheap it won’t last.
-
Before you even think about buying a gutter vac look at the majority of gutters out and about a lot of them you can’t get a tube in,I have a gutter vac and a lot of the time I’ve always had to clear some if not most by hand due to not being able to access the gutter.
They do one now that has a valve at the base which allows you to lift and drop large bits of moss etc, that’s essential the amount of times I’ve had to drop unblock and then raise back up again it’s a pain.

NWH
Yes I’ve heard people say this
But also others say they’ve never had a problem
Also some say budget setups are crap
A lot of the vacs are just rebranded and price hiked
The SkyVac high end range are nisfliks
Difficult one
I think I’m going to take the plunge
Hence not looking to spend too much
As maybe on eBay selling for £300
This time next year
I’ll have camera and survey
If it’s a complete nightmare
I won’t be doing it
Say something like tiles over hang too much a good chance they’ll dislodge
Run away 🏃🏻♂️ 😁

Unfortunately it will be like going back to 🏫 school
Same as When I switched to wfp 🤭
-
Some houses or offices are easy it’s like printing cash but some are the opposite and you wished you’d never said yes, unless you look some houses appear to have huge room for the tube and when you attempt to clean them only the thin attachment will go in leaving the backs of the gutters full.
I’ve cleaned some average height houses out quicker by hand rather than faff with the vac, bucket hanging off the ladder with a S shaped meat hook right under you sometimes seems easier take it from me although I don’t clear any gutters in the summer out of choice.
-
I love cleaning gutters with my vac.
Im off the ladder 90% of the time and its great. 😊
-
The vac is a good ornament to have in sitting in the garden when you are charging a high price to clean them out by hand 🤣🤣🤣,I’ve done that before I’ve thought this is easier by hand most of the time it is tbh the time you’ve got it out or though health and safety and all that.

That valve is a great idea ive often just turned off vac but its a nightmare especially on 3 storeys
-
Overhanging tiles are a nightmare just done big job and had loads off trouble with them 🙈
-
Yeah that’s what I mean you can’t see it on the first look until you turn up with the vac and start complete nightmare, ladder off.
-
What diameter are those tubes?

NWH. Have you got these ?
They do all shapes to fit gutters
If your up the ladder you might as well minimise your moves
Wondered if they fit to slx with camera
Drag all the crap up to one end
Hoover out 🤔
-
Yeah that’s what I mean you can’t see it on the first look until you turn up with the vac and start complete nightmare, ladder off.
When quoting the job you should do a camera survey any problems will then be identified and charged accordingly , there should never be any surprises when you turn up to do a job if this process is followed
-
slipped tiles can be pushed back if you use a solid swan neck and not silicone bend
While im sure Nigel has some valid points - it does just sometimes come down to your ability to do the job - I'd find it very unlikely the majority of gutters Nigel clears are so tight you cant get the nozzle in - around out way that would be about 1 in 60 clears and out of them 1 in 10 maybe rammed so possibly 1 in 600 is a ball ache - Nigel must just be unlucky ;D ;D ;D

I don’t like doing em they are dirty horrible ball ache jobs i only do them for regular customers,I do better cleaning their windows, why anyone would want to go round canvassing those jobs is beyond me. I’ve had the vac 5 years and I hate using it maybe I’d like the new sky vac the base section looks like it’s more secure to the base pole but the one I have makes my testicles ache when using it,I get it out the van dirty it up a bit then clear most by hand 🤣🤣🤣🤣 💰
-
I reckon on houses those pro gutter tools would be better, honestly I did a lovely big new house a couple of years ago nice cast iron guttering got the nozzle in and thought it won’t go in at all.
Gets up the ladder to look and I could hardly get my fingers in it was so tight lol, they must have run out of puff the builders when it came to finishing off the job, dreadful.

if you had staff then you wouldn't need to do them 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh don’t worry I have help and that’s just the thing when people send out rabbits they end up pricing stuff for peanuts 🥜 and taking on terrace houses and 1 bed flats lol,you want to get out and clean some windows yourself the 10 quid a poppers might need to go up when you’re cleaning em 🤣🤣🤣.
Like I say I do gutters for regulars and that’s it I don’t want gutter jobs they make my balls ache, dirty horrible machines I’d rather clean windows that are already clean 🤣💰
-
I interviewed 2 last week 1 couldn’t stop dribbling and the other one wanted his mum to pick him up at lunchtime 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🍼 🍼,I tell you what some of these people today Saying they want work I’ve S**T bigger things out when I get home.

🤣🤣👍 honestly you can’t buy em when they turn up I’m looking out the window waiting if they walk like Ray out of rain man or Forest Gump I don’t answer the door, after a while in this game you can spot a cheesy bell in a split second.

You can easily sell gutter clearing with a vac though I know you can earn good money it’s just I don’t like doing them, most people looking for window cleaning jobs these days have very very long arms like Neanderthal man dragging their knuckles,I might give one of em a job just for clearing gutters from the ground 🤣🤣
