I am looking to sell my wheelie bin cleaning round to an individual or my database to an existing bin cleaning company due to ill health.
I cover Surrey Hants and Berks.
The business has not been running to full capacity for the past year due to poor health.
I would be looking in the region of 6k for the round and vehicle or 5k for my database that includes almost 2000 customers.
I have been operating since 2004 and although it comprises of mainly domestic customers, I do have a few commercial customers as well

What do you clean a wheelie bin with.
Sounds interesting. How much do you charge per bin and how often is it cleaned. You have 2000 customers so what is the turnover for this.
-
the lads round by me charge £3.50 a bin, good little earner id say, every 2 weeks altanating between your bins could do 100 a day better than window cleaning

Has the new recycling rules affected wheelie bin cleaners, i read some where it is putting them out of business, however i may have read that wrong.

What are they putting in their bins that they need pressure washing every two weeks? Or even once a year for that matter? Excrement?

Food waste and other rubbish.
Ours does the black bin every time it's emptied which is 2 weekly.
They only charge £2.00

this could be an interesting debate ! ive often wondered what the score is with bin cleaning
-
Nobody in Yorkshire would pay that -£3.50!! ;D ;D ;D
-
i've got a bin round and charge £2 a bin 8)
-
a customer told me its not much but when she said erm its only about £3.50 i thought it was expensive and she didnt looked like she could actually remember the price herself,£2 sounds more reasonable
-
Out of interest, what kind of van and system is for sale.
Kind regards, Simon

At first I was sceptical of the bin cleaning rounds but run professionally I can see the appeal, nobody been to where I live as far as I know. Anyone got links with set up costs from new- I like bright shiny things :) :)

i read somewhere that if you clean bins then under environmental control laws you must tke the water away that you use to clean the bins and then dispose of it in a contolled and i think licenced manner?? in my view that kills the business dead. The question is will anybody be made to comply?
-
ive heard this too, whats the actual legislation ?
-
i have heard that too,but i think it might vary from on maybe the council?
-
To start a bin business you need to see the council and most important is to see who's in charge of the drainage.
Yes you do need to take the dirty water with you then you need someone from the council to pass a drain specially a foul drain where you can empty the dirty water
when the bin men emptied the wheelie bin if there is a bit of rubbish in the wheelie bin you just put it back in a bag and then put it back in the wheeliebin.
While
And before you start a in bin business you need to get the customer's first
