I may even buy a new analogue version as I don't really get on with the digital one but question as above. I seem  to have to recallibrate the damn thing everyday first job in morning. I'm trying to eliminate the issue. I'm sure I've read before that they will work without the ps, but is there a downside to this. ?

Secondly, if anybody uses the analogue version. Does it power on/off by turning the speed dial to zero or is it worth me adding an inline on/off switch from battery. ?

They work better with pump pressure switch removed (bypassed)
