exactly this. this s the problem which nobody can answer when they say open up the country and let the virus run amok.
what happens to the health workers?
do we just expect them to keep going to work when they are at risk of catching it in its more severe form?
remember they're not saying only the front line NHS staff will be manning the wards if the NHS gets over run. it's anyone who is employed by the NHS be they admin staff, cleaners, psychologists... if the wards are overrun they told ALL NHS employees they may get redeployed into direct contact with covid patients
and you expect them to just be fine with that and do it?
some of them will for sure, but i know a lot of trained nurses who were close to quitting the first time round with the lack of PPE and what they were being told they were expected to do
