just out of interest..... people often scoff when I say charge  £80/hr for powerwashing but this video shows a job i did last week, it took 1hr 15mins.

hopefully you can see the size of the job.... how much do you think a job of this size should cost? at £80 an hour it would cost £100( but I actually charged more than  £100)

You can charge what you like, if you get the work happy days, if you're desperate to earn a crust you'll work for whatever price you put forward that you know will get your hand snapped off.

When I first set up I had a chinese snide honda to get me going, one of them with the quick connect nozzles, I cleaned a friends drive in 4 long hours. Charged him £130 clean. I cleaned the same drive earlier this year in 30 minutes on my own with much better kit that we've built up over time. This time I charged him £60.
The faster you can operate the more you can fit in, the more you fit in the more leads to word of mouth can be gained.

Pretty much every domestic job we do there's always a keep up with the jones' types and they'll snap your hand off if they're aware with the speed you can complete work.

that would be a hell of a lot of weight to be towing around.  don't they say 1ltr of water is 1kg so that's about 4 ton.

The trailer looks like a 2000 litre one to me. This will weigh about 2600 Kg's when full so check your train weight, I'd guess you're running illegally at the mo (when tank full).

What make and model is the towing van?

Be careful also with the eye as opposed to ball hitch connector. A good friend of mine had a vehicle turned by the same, better as I understand it to go with a ball hitch.

As for 1 hour fifteen minutes. What about travelling time and revisit for sanding etc. 1 hour fiftenn good for all that.

Ian thanks for the link, I tend never to drive with a full tank, as it strains the van.

To be honest i guessed what the bowser holds i've never really known for sure.

half full tends to do an average small job,most times I do hook up to the customers tap ( this is really for the terraced houses that have the tap at the back)

I price job on how long they willm take to do the job, not including travel as most of my jobs are in my small town so travel is minimal, out of town jobs have a travel surcharge.

i've got some lovely 10gl min 3000psi Cat pumps turning @ 1000rpm ( so last for ever)

 if you had the engine to power them you could buy one and  build a nice unit

says 20hp..... but I think this is a little small, I would go with 24hp or above so the engine doesn't need to be working at full capacity

A cursory glance over Ebay, there is a 40 HP for 800 but fitting them together would be more than I would want to take on.

£350 , only been fitted to oil rig, fire suppression systems.....  but never used!!!  they are changed ever 18mths even though they are never used

Mike, are they the 660/661 models you have? Presuming so as you said 10 GPM.

yes the 660 but this is based on the engineer who i bought them off..... but he said the are the same pump just the 660 turns at 1400rpm and the 650 1000rpm
