Johnny Vegas.

He came stumbling out from a pub we were cleaning at 9am one Saturday morning last summer. I asked for a pic with him and he said only if I give him a lift home in my van, so I did!

I always thought he came across as a nob on tv, but was actually a decent bloke, even steaming drunk.

I met Dame Judith Dench while canvassing many years ago.  Didn't realise who she was until a bit later.  I thought she looked vaguely familiar but just assumed I had seen her around the village while cleaning.
As for Jimmy Page, an old friend of mine was involved in the music business.  He threw a party at the country house where he was living.  JP was there too.

The Sultana of Brunei wanted to go to bi-monthly because he was a bit strapped. He'd spent a bit getting his car through it's MOT and had promised to take his wife to Center Parcs the same week.

Sherlock Holmes wanted to know why I rinsed on the glass. "It's elementary...." I replied. He just give me a black look from under his deerstalker, as if he hears that all the time.

I have met loads of famous people, but not while window cleaning, so my best is the producer from real radio phone in victoria, I clean hers mums house and will be doing victoria's shortly, and the security guard on a job I do quarterly is the brother of the black guy, on the programme boys from the black stuff, he is gay and gets all excited when when we put on full harnesses to go do the outsides from a safety line on the roof

but apart from that no, not window cleaning chat with famous people

Joe Pasquale. My friend who got me into window cleaning had Joe as a customer, and I helped him clean his windows.

I later met Joe at my daughters' primary school fete, and he gave his autograph  to my oldest daughter. He was very modest and unassuming. Top bloke.

yes. by chance i saw him walking alone down by the docks,tooted my horn at him but no reaction .so i turned my van around and we eventually spotted him staring at the boats. i called out "billy" and he very slowly turned around, came over to the van ,shook my hand and smiled and then wandered off . Really made my day  ;D

whilst canvassing we have met the black  lady who plays Denise in Eastenders,The Hoosiers,Jamie Theakston,and quite a few people who have sons n daughters in Afghanistan...and lost relations,recently met a soldier who had both his legs blown off in Afghanistan....a very humbling experience.

When i was young i stood next to kevin Costner at the bar, orient hotel, in sydney, he was over in oz promoting water world.
I walked back with the beers and told my fellow back packers "kevin costners over there"

Then a group of girls started screaming and a bouncer ushered us back.

I talk regularly to the man who now lives in the house that Elton John was born in. Does that count? When I was driving the taxi we used to do all the work for the BBC so drove loads of so called celbs. They are not that great.

About 3-4 years ago I was on a flight from Dublin to Leeds/Bradford that was diverted to Teeside Airport,can`t remember why it was diverted but knowing Ryanair it probably suited them and they would have considered it near enough.There was then going to be a wait for a coach to Leeds so overheard 2 chaps wanting to hire a car and and it was heading to York.So strolled over and offered to share the cost.The 2 blokes were a Dublin Businessman and David O`leary the footballer/manager.The car was arranged and we set off. O`leary was asked about his time at Villa and Doug Ellis the chairman not being much of a spender,and O`leary said he had him in the office one day querying his expenses and some receipts for coffee and sandwiches from a local shop.Doug Ellis said"Does your wife not make you a pack up?".
                            Interesting trip and after dropping O`leary off somewhere near Wetherby,the Dublin guy,picking up on something from an earlier conversation offered a handshake and said "I`ll take it your a member of the fellowship". And i replied i was, but to this day i`m not sure whether he meant AA or Cleanitup.

i went to school with Sir Nicholas Faldo and have met a number of past and present professional footballers including Bobby Moore and Sir Alf Ramsey and Ashley Young, i also know the ex England rugby international that discovered Jonnie Wilkinson and an old actor.

Prince Naseem Hamed, fat as hell now and choked when he asked how much i was charging. £150. I had cleaned them about 3  times by then big big house he then wanted them cleaned every 9 mths or so, told him ta da.
Then there was Eddie jordon, only wanted summer mths told him ta da.

I used to clean Johnny Briggs (Mike Baldwin in corrie) windows a few years back. I asked Robert Plant once if he needed a wc. My son used to go to same school as his son Logan. We used to run opposite lines when our boys were playing for the school football team. Great bloke!!

when carpet cleaning - Julian Clarey was a regular customer of mine
Shorts in summer,long floppy hoses, lots of suction - we NEVER,EVER had those sort of conversations :o

I used to clean the STIG   mark 1's  house ..... the black suit one .... Perry Mcarthey , did his house for years nice guy and family.

Remeber the solar eclipes about 12 year back when the day went like night for about 20 mins ,, me and him was watching it in his garden ... work had to stop as i cound't see the windows ( pre WFP lol )

I also now clean  Prescot two jag's - sister , who looks the same as him ...!!

and i know gav lammy camm so we talk most days --- my van is better than your van and my pole is stiffer than your pole sort of talk... ::)
