I met Dame Judith Dench while canvassing many years ago.  Didn't realise who she was until a bit later.  I thought she looked vaguely familiar but just assumed I had seen her around the village while cleaning.
As for Jimmy Page, an old friend of mine was involved in the music business.  He threw a party at the country house where he was living.  JP was there too.

The Sultana of Brunei wanted to go to bi-monthly because he was a bit strapped. He'd spent a bit getting his car through it's MOT and had promised to take his wife to Center Parcs the same week.

Sherlock Holmes wanted to know why I rinsed on the glass. "It's elementary...." I replied. He just give me a black look from under his deerstalker, as if he hears that all the time.
