I`m uncomfortable with these choices of trim,i`m uncomfortable with the price(now the dearest brush on the site) which suggests the other brushes must be inferior in some way.
Its a "Brush too far" for me,i would rather have seen a standard brush offered with extra bristles to help clean sills as an option.
Confuse em you lose em.
And while i`m having a moan i think its time to stop offering any brushes for sale with black bristles,it is without a doubt handier to know if you have just picked up heavier than expected contamination by brushing an upper sill by being able to see it before you take it all to the next window.
I will attempt to address the issue of confusing choice. Firstly, there will be a lot more information about these brushes on the website and also on You Tube before they are available for sale. This will mean that it will be very easy to make a choice from the options but I still feel that it is necessary to have all these options - not that any one person will use all 5 options! They all clean window sills as well as windows and they all offer a wide radius of bristles which can also help when cleaning conservatory roofs, gutters, cladding, etc.
Three choices of bristle type - this is simply to cater for personal taste on the softness of the brush.
The stiff one is generally just for specialist work for occasions when a really hard scrub is needed but I would not recommend it for standard window cleaning work.
The soft one is for those that like a soft brush currently - for instance, if you like using the soft Xtreme brush you will also like the feel of the soft sill brush.
The medium one is for those that like a medium stiffness brush - for instance, if you like using the standard Xtreme brush you will also like the feel of the medium sill brush.
Two choices of trim - this is to cater for those that like a dual trim brush for standard window cleaning.
Dual trim brushes where first introduced specifically for window cleaning (by Tucker) as they are ideally suited for cleaning glass. The outer bristles splay and clean the edges and corners whilst the inner bristles scrub the rest of the glass. In most circumstances a dual trim brush will clean glass better than a single trim brush regardless of whether it is a sill brush or not.
Most users should choose the dual trim version as the primary purpose of window cleaning is still to clean the glass
.
The full trim versions are for those that already use and prefer a single trim brush or a single trim sill brush.
The main decision for most window cleaners will be which of the two dual trim options to go for. This will depend on what brush you are using currently, soft or medium.
Of course all of these decisions only apply if you want to use a sill brush. Having taken two and half years to develop this brush and having spent a couple of months working with them I now can see the point of having a sill brush but having said that I still switch back to my lighter Xtreme brush when I can.
