to all.
if you do any kind of internet search now, the first few pages are full of directories.
most of these rank so high because of the links they provide within there sites.
wonder if all us guys pull together and make a directory with all our services and companies web sites on and make a page directory within each site containg all of them.???
comments please

Just a cleaner.

There have been supposed directories on the net before specialising in our industry.  They never happened.  Just farms for fishing for contact details to flog.
I would be interested in setting one up.

Beau ,

Try carpet cleaning essex or just cleaning essex and my site is at or near top ,  so you can beat the directories.

I searched - didn't get you on Google, Ask Jeeves or Yahoo. Am I doing something wrong?

Owen,

If you search any of them on carpet cleaning essex or any of my more local areas such as Southend then we're top.

Cheers,

Hi,

I cant reccomend Google Ad Words enough!  I get at least 3/4 enquiries a day.  Set your daily limit (mine is £3.00) and once that has been reached you no longer appear, but if you go specific, for example 'Domestic Cleaning Hampton' or 'Steam Cleaning Harrogate', all depending on who you are trying to target you will get a great result.   Word of waring though the 'geographic' setting doesnt work you are better including the name of your area in your key words.

You can choose how much you want to pay per click (obviously some words cost mre than others), and you can have as many words or phrases as you like.  The whole process is really easy.

I usually find myself in the top 3 and rarely use my full limit daily.  Bewars of competitors doing malicious clicking though!  Its fsairly common, but comes with the territory!

Hope that helps.

well lets be a bit prevocative shall we.
before we start developing new activities to fill in the hrs we dont want to spend working or with our  other halves, lets smooth the  rough egdes off this site.
like whats the point of keeping expired pages from last year? ok yes the informative ones are usefull, but what about the tosh?
what about a self clean up rule i e a system where you go back in and clean up your dead postings.
what about a system that sends an email alert to someone telling them to check there private postings, cos believe it or not some people do not check the pages for days at a time( i know you find that unbelievable)
what about a few more divisions in the category list ,
i am sure there are a lot of other things out there that you may want , so stop sitin on yer hands an whingin about how hard life is, do something about it for yourself cos nobody else will
waiting for the fallout
regards to all

Let's learn to spell and punctuate, shall we? That would be a reasonable start.

The reason why old posts are kept, are for reference i.e. search for a topic or subject and it will list all posts that are relevant.

Some posts required a lot of effort, research and people’s time and act as a library for future readings. Plus if one person starts to remove their old posts and others don’t, it destroys the complete thread. There is a lot of very valuable content within the archives which represents thousands of hours invested. Destroy that and you destroy the whole point of having a forum (board) all that’s left is a chat room.

Tosh!! who would decide what is and what isn’t. I take it your touting for the job then, in that case, see you in about a hundred years or so.

Perhaps you should of asked why is water wet and what’s the point of it. The answer is easy "its great for washing cars" isn’t it? Oh yes - and drowning people.

Um isn’t this slightly off topic?  :-\ ;)

No probs (I think ?)

However made an error in my last post , apparently you don’t need water to clean cars these days (whatever next) I wonder if Waterless have any substitute for drowning then as well !!!!!
 ;D

How come my post count is going DOWN instead of up. Is that you Carloso have you started your new job or is my popularity just crap! wonder why  ;D ;)

only you can answer as to why its down - not up, if you get my drift. so go ye in peace and don't forget that whilst the meek shall inherit the earth, us stupid buggers that work for a living shall have to continue collecting funds for m r vat whilst enjoying the benefits of paying tax individully at a level that would keep about 50 albanians in ladders for at least four score and ten
