Title: best membrane for booster pump?
Post by: ian1965 on March 24, 2018, 07:28:05 am
Good morning all - What is the best membrane to use when using  a  booster pump?  Have been using just tap pressure but have outgrown the amount of water I need!

I assume you mean a 4040 membrane?
If so then I would say a HF4, because it's cheaper than a HF5, and especially if you are using a Booster Pump the HF4 will be perfectly adequate.

Speak to June at Gaps water for best information always found her prices fairly reasonable

Correct me if I’m wrong

The hf5 is suitable for low pressure the hf4. Is suitable for higher pressure

Depends what booster you’ll be using

HF4 membrane at around 80 psi boosted will be fine.
