I always thought the aquadapter had flaws and was not suitable especially for taller wfp work being stuck on the end of a pole.
Glad that steve is going in another direction now as a simple on/off gizmo at the bottom of the pole makes a lot more sense to me.

I don't think it will be an on and off gizmo at the bottom of the pole as this would have no benefit over a tap, I would say it will still be something that goes on top or at least in the top section.

Steve will have reasons for a new version and stopping the old version .
Reasons only he probably knows .
Msybe just try the new product

It more than likely to do with production costs, he would still have to buy the parts for the old adaptor in bulk so could
end up with a lot parts that are no longer needed and a lot of wasted cash.

Just hope he has also improved the admin side of the business.

hes already failed this by discontinuing the aquadapter ,

, I would of stocked both this way opening up the market to everybody , if your an old aquadapter fan and cant get on with the new one you cant get them anymore that's foolish

its like gardners stopping the clx because they invent a better pole called the slx  it just wouldn't happen , stevs a great guy but I think he doesn't thinkt befoure he jumps in shame

he should never of had a cap in the market for so long on the change over , hes already losing custmers

Production costs he more than likely buys his parts in bulk so could end up with a lot of wasted parts and cash, the secrete
is to get the new model out as quickly as possible after the old one runs out, this can be hard to achieve if your a smallish
business.

It would be very foolish to have an older and what you would consider and less effective product still running with a new
version, I still prefer Gardiners old clamps as I'm sure a few others do but it wouldn't be cost effective for him to offer both
options for the small amount of people who might think this way.
Obviously Steve believes that the new version will end demand for the old.

so what your saying that garners should drop the clx now they have the xtreme range ?? maybe ford should drop the base model vans because you can get a trend model ??  what about washing up power should we get rid of that because you can now buy little tablets  that do the same ??

see where I am going with this true to form all good companys keep as much range as possible because theres always a market for old stock that people wont change from hes had all the out lay from the old a.d. now so its just a case of keeping stuff on the shelf

Think you will find the uni valve or whatever it's going to be called will fit inside the top section of the pole.

Sorry, but there is no correlation to gardiners dropping the clx ( budget range ) to having an slx ( premium range ) they run side by side

This is a replacement to a great idea ( although not the best on the market ) so the old version is discontinued, just like ford, perhaps they should still be selling cortinas as well as mondeos ??

Uni-valve benefits:
1) Fit any pole (also use with pole hose on outside)
2) Lighter 10 -15 Grm total weight.
3) Does not increase length of collapsed pole
4) Springs do not break
5) Never get damaged
6) Compatible with any Gardiner pole includes (xtreme, and ok to use goosenecks)
Has Alex Gardiner recommends not using previous aqua-dapters with the xtreme range.
7) No extra add on's to use with various fittings
8) Cheaper

Steven.

When can we have one? In Twelve years of wfp this is the only water cut off device that I would ever consider having. ;)

Wishing you every success with this Steven, you could be onto a winner here, but just as important as the product is the admin side, hopefully this has been addressed.  When will they be available to buy?

Hi Lee,

Basically the same has the old aqua-dapter but without issues. (Breaking springs, extra weight, length etc.)
