This is what I wear all year round:

Very comfortable & last me between 9 months & a year. It says they're not water resistant but mine have never let water in.

In my experience the only true fully waterproof footware are the "welly" type boots like muck boots etc. All my "waterproof" boots have let water in eventually- some just do it sooner than others.

If you don’t want anything too heavy get goretex shoes instead of boots😉 I wear  Salomon XA Pro 3D shoes, nice and light and very comfortable.

Been wearing these daily for about 6 weeks and they are superb.  Perfect fit with the boa twist fit, honestly feels like your wearing nothing. Supposedly "permanently" waterproof as well, time will tell.

I'm using these at the moment. Comfortable, waterproof and not expensive.

I’ve always been a fan of Karrimor but  the quality has really  reduced over this last year (since Sports Direct started manufacturing them themselves) I used to get 6 months from a pair but the last pair were letting in water after 3 weeks.

Currently wearing these and after around 8 weeks they have kept their shape completely and are going well so far, cheap too.

I also wear Soloman’s for hillwalking but I’m not keen on spending £140+ on boots to wear for work.

Totally agree with you about the karrimor quality Deeegee used to be quite decent I won't be buying them again the last couple of pairs only lasted weeks or even days before letting water in >:(

I bought these, warm, comfortable and totally waterproof! On second winter with them, also walk the dog in them when it's wet.

A leather gortex military boot.  I wouldn't say they're light (but the weight doesn't bother me).

Totally dry feet, comfortable once broken in, and mine have lasted three years now, though I think this'll be the last year for them.
