Exceed blue is the best I've ever used but I can't seem to get it anymore.

I am really liking the new Gardiner green hose. Not one issue so far with it.

Most PU pole hose works well. The least flexible it is the better for operating the Univalve.
However, in my experience the least flexible it is the greater problems I've had with it laying flat, and a hose that won't lay flat is a trip hazard to both ourselves and to others. The best PU hose I've worked with to date has been Gardiners green. I can't comment on the most recent version. The original one was so tough I'm still using it and probably will be for some time to come

any PU hose will work well with the univalve.....i use the orange stuff...i think its from gardiners,,,ive got loads of blue exceed hose as well which is good too...in fact ive probably got enough spare pole hose to last me another 30 years! ;D
price higher/work harder!

I bought a new slx from Gardiners this week and it came with this hose :-
ALL SEASON PVC POLE HOSE 5MM ID X 8MM OD

I use univalves, have I ordered the wrong hose?
I'm a thicko sometimes 😱

I think so - I thought the all season hose was stretchy so it’ll be no good with the univalve

It will be fine , I've used it for years without problems with cold water. There is a little bit if stretching in the hose but doesn't cause issues.

I'm surprised Gardiners still sell the all season yellow pole hose. I hated the stuff. It would always start out soft and flexible then a few months down the line it had gone stiff and then would inevitably split. I'd have to replace it two or three times a year.
