i have been cleaning the carpets in some student accomadation that is to be let out to conferees next week the problem is in one of the flats the smell is terrible i know it isnt always possible to remove all the smell but i have in the past always managed to mask it using a product called odour clear is there any better product that anyone can recomend that they think will do the job.

Someone may have been sick on the carpet perhaps . Use an enzyme pre spray or a colloidal with plenty of dwell time. Check the substrate and backing if possible and treat it if needed. Mist a de-odouriser afterwards once source of odour has been dealt with.
