Any biocide, fungicidal type product will kill off the algae and making cleaning easier. It is not a good idea to reguarly pressure wash any kind of paving as this is the equivalent to accelerated weathering. Pressure washing leads to the stone becoming more porous and more susceptible to algae, lichen growth etc.
The best thing to do is properly clean it once, then seal it with a good quality patio sealer. The sealer will greatly extend the time it takes the algae to form and make future removal far easier.
