Black anti slip slate
« on: October 31, 2012, 09:00:38 pm »
Howdy all
I visited a prospect today who has been having some issues with a black slate effect tile which they have in their posh washrooms. The surface looks like slate but when you run your hand across it feels like it has had seal containing sand impregnated into the surface. The existing cleaning company are using a steamer on it once a month so although the grout looks clean the tile still has white water marks across the floor, beneath the urinals and near the sinks. I would usually go in with bona pro 2, scrub and then sx12 but the washrooms have terrible ventilation and no windows so bona 2 would be too smelly for their posh noses!
Any ideas?
Cheers
Tim

Is the white marking hard water deposits?

Bona clean isn't quite as smelly as Pro2 and works well with good contact time.

Did you do a test area with Pro2?

Phosphoric doesn't have the same kick as Pro 2 and would also work if its the above. If you have pics as Kevin suggests it would help.
