hi guys happy new year.
i have been asked to clean a single mattress which has a couple of wee stains from toddler and would like to ask if anyone has experience in cleaning matressess and what would they charge for a single matress i was thinking of using fibre shampoo followed by a fibre and fabric rinse any suggestions would be very much appreciated thankyou .

I think what you are suggesting will work well. Matts can take some drying and ensure you clean evenly all over to prevent water marking. If it was only this I was cleaning for customer ,I would charge tween £75/85. inc. depending on access and distance to travel. Simon

yes thankyou simon just the 1 off i do have a good blower too just out of curiosity how much you charge for double matress locall area :) thankyou
-
As mentioned above, if local and easy access I would be charging £75.00 if it was the sole job for the customer. Simon

£75 for a 45 min job?...good luck with that
-
Well i suppose you could charge £200 really watching the blower for a few hours

This is why i found carpet cleaning not profitable enough in my area.
No way would i get 75 quid for a mattress, probably 30-40 quid, which when you factor in 45 mins for job plus pack up and away, plus travel time and fuel, its pretty poor.

I won't do them....you can pick them up new for about £150 can't you?

I found most of the mattress cleaning calls I got were from guest of a home who had messed up the mattress ( young kid wetting the bed, adults drunk etc) they wanted to get it cleaned because of embarrassment . But still were very price conscious

There are plenty of people out there with mattresses costing up to 1000 though who wont think twice about paying your min charge . Many of the good mattresses are just one sided too :D

great guys thankyou for the info yes you often wonder of the purchase price and cleaning price as seen through the eyes and pockets of the customer it also depends how personal an item is too :)

Dynamal encap is the way we would go, quick, easy , dries fast and the peroxide helps with the stains.........
