Me again 850kg tank, What size van!!!!
« on: October 11, 2007, 10:42:28 pm »
Hi

looking to eventually get a van mount even thinking about doing a video blog on how i put it all together etc from nothing to can mount, and working, if that makes sense

anyways when i have enough work will have my dad working with me so i need to know i think we will go through 500-800 litres between us in a day, most blokes who work on their own use 400-500 so i thought play it safe and get a 800l tank,

so here is the question i will need a van, i like the vivaro, what payload will i need, im thinking 1200kg after ladders other equipment people etc with a little to spare, am i right?

or will i need more payload and what vans does this enable me to have thanks guys, help me now and youll help to make the  amazing video, if any of you a good looking enough maybe you could star in it

Hi Alex, you are in nearly the same position as me 2-3 months ago, I am nearly 18 you are 20, both of use have our dads with us. 500ltrs between two men is possible but you will need to keep your flow down. I use an Expert with 900kg payload and a 500ltr tank, but where I live the tds is very low so filling up isnt a problem, Luke

filling up wont be a problem,

i want to be safe, and if on my own being tight doing mostly top i get through 200ltrs, then i will need at least 600, but some days im not near my house and i could have a di, but id rather save the money carrying pure around

what vans do i have at my disposal

800 litres = 800kg
Tank & Fixings = 50kg
Ladders = 15kg
Buckets = 10kg
Hose reels (x2) = 20kg
Poles (x4) = 10kg
Fuel in Tank = 80kg
Driver = 80kg
Passenger = 80kg
Lunch & Drink = 3kg

Total = 1068kg

1200kg payload should be fine, 1400kg would be even better.
