Just won a big job New
« on: September 25, 2006, 11:07:43 pm »
A few of you may remember me losing a big job £120 a fortnight to ocs and at the same time i stated i was going to quote for an apartment block, well today i got the job confirmed  and got  asked to go and quote another one on wednesday.

Also had a phone call from one of my  domestic customers to go annd price up one of there nursing homes apparantly they have got 10 , I already clean next door to the home ( a large B&B)

Oh yes i nearly forgot i picked up a £5.00 terraced front to go with the other 4 i have all on the same street.

It all fits on my round nicely.

Squeeks

Dormers definately wfp, if you notice they have triangular windows going up the sides
conservatories on the 3rd floor will be done trad ,, balconies trad ground floor trad
other second , third and fourth windows will be wfp.

Would you do the 3rd floor off a ladder Squeeks,

Dave

Squeeky

The only reason i got this job is because i said i could do every window , the last people skipped loads especially the dormers.

The owners pay a fortune in service charges and expect all there windows cleaned , the cheapest apartment in this block is £320'000 and they want all there windows done one way or another.

Can you believe the last window cleaners charged £220

Nice one Dave, a perfect example where trad & wfp are equal.  ;)

Good luck mate.  ;D

Good one Dave - and good to see a respectable price for a job like that. I must say it looks a gem for a mixture of trad and wfp.

HAVE YOU SORTED THE HOLIDAY YET?

we are all getting anxious - we've packed the bags, bucket and spade, tux, cleaning leaflets and are champing at the bit and ready to get going!

Dave

You don't need to do any of the windows trad style.

Just get an extra extra long goose neck.

I think your arms and shoulders will ache after doing that lot.

Well done mate.

Ross

That is just half a days work for me , I actually do more windows on 3 nursing homes which i normally do in about 5 hours, this would probably take langer due to access issues, but i am looking forward to doing it.

I will let you know how long it takes on the first clean bearing in mind the frames are absolutely black

Jake

I dont think i will be selling anything yet but if you are serious i will give you first refusal if i do

That'll keep you both busy, Dave.  Good challenge.  Well done.  Their loss was your gain!
