Title: Rubber crumb flooring
Post by: JandS on January 09, 2018, 06:52:45 pm
Anybody any ideas for the best stuff to clean this...it's at the nursery where the wife works and I'm guessing they are wanting me to clean it cheaply for them.

We cleaned some once using a lightweight 13” rotary fitted with a carpet brush, minimal spray and a wet vac on low.  It worked but it was a similar situation a charity job in a school for mentally challenged kids.  Then we did another one in a Hi-Fi Dept of a very well known department store and did it the same way but we got well paid for that :D

We cleaning some last year with Hot washer, Mosmatic with vacumm port and recovery.  It was in a car showroom covered in grease and oil. Came up a treat!

What cleaning solution Kevin.

I just used a pH Neutral but there would be no reason not to use a High Alkaline either if needed provided it was diluted correctly and I would also rinse.  But if the Mosmatic worked above I see no reason why something like an SX 12 wouldn’t work either especially with extraction.  Why not try both methods and seee what is best?

Going to go down the rotary brush and wet vac route.

Going to go down the rotary brush and wet vac route.

Only switch one of the vac motors on or it will start sucking the crumb off
