What replacement pole is good for me?
« on: August 12, 2005, 08:38:47 pm »
I've been using a trolley system from Broxburn/Peter Fogwill since February and generally I use the top three/four sections of the Unger pole he has supplied.
(The whole pole with all sections added reaches to 42ft)

I like it cuz it's very light ali, but the (green) tightening cones are wearing out.

Q1) Where can I get spare cones and pole ends from, just for individual sections of the pole?

Q2) Once I've got the original Pole repaired I'll keep it for the odd higher job, but I'd like a quick-release very light pole for 2/3 storey residential light commercial work. What do you recommend? What are the pro's and cons of just buying another Unger 4-section version of the one I've got?

Any help much appreciated.

Try Ionics domestic range I like thier poles because every part is replacable right down to levers, nuts and pole sections. a little dearer than some but in the long run I think they will be cheaper to maintain..
