Mine's very similar. Keeps it simple and to the point.

A member of the forum posted a thread on the post office lookielikey cards - they were very effective as I understand however I do recall that it lead to a few issues with people thinking it was the post office leaving a parcel.

Keep any paperwork simple and clear with a strong brand awareness

Residential ones:
Window Cleaning (large and bold)
My business name (a bit smaller)
"Your windows have been
cleaned today"
My
address
DATE: .............PAYMENT DUE: ............
Payment is due within 14 days.
I do not return to collect payments.
Please see over for details of
how to pay"
At the bottom there is a drawing on the left of someone cleaning a window.  On the right are my phone numbers and email address

On the reverse are details of how to pay.

I print them myself, 2 up on A4 with duplex on for double-sided printing.  Then I guillotine them.  I use the samurai sword with which I threaten non-payers.

 ;D

When we first came to the UK over 20 years ago, we had a window cleaner.
He just used to leave a piece of cardboard 'waterproofed' with sellotape advising that the windows were cleaned. It had no price but a note on the back to 'please not destroy'. He collected them when he collected the payment for the clean and reused them.

Cheer's for the feed back guy's.
Andy Hiscock, that was the kind of invoice I saw , they had a paypal account.
They get their custom to pay as friend or family to avoid charge's, so I believe haven't used this method myself.

Do you get many pay by cheque, if so how do they know where to send it?

I did used to leave an addressed envelope with those that paid by cheque.

But I don't do that anymore - I've added my postal address to the slip above now.

Most of my customers now pay by bank transfer or GoCardless.

Mine is bold writing and logo with Windows cleaned and contact details on the front of a card postcard size .

Then details about how to sign up &  benefit and security of GoCardless to get more custys signed up , Sucess hasn't been great so will rethink on next batch from printers .

I won't put my bank details on any paperwork other than commercial invoices if needed and I certainly wouldn't put it all over the Internet .

Massive hacks and scams with people trying to obtain bank details yet you guys are giving that info freely for all the world to see  ??? ???

There's no more info out there than on a cheque.

If it's only an account that custys pay into - and then empty it on a regular basis then I can't see you losing much if there was a scam and even in that event, surely your bank will cover you for fraud

A bank will cover you for fraud. Online banking saves them huge sums of money. They far prefer to offer online banking knowing it's not as secure as it should be but saving them costs in wages and outlets whilst covering the risk of an account being emptied.

Matt the  wrong kind of people only need a small amount of info in order to empty your account their was a guy on BBC Breakfast news earlier in the week he assumed they had gone through his bins and gained some bank details account emptied ,He said it was nightmare to sort out .

Hardly anyone uses cheques and with only a small amount of people having access to bank details surely a fraud team could trace it but  if your giving thousands of people access to your account details then they wont have  a clue were to start and your money will be gone .

Yes banks  will cover someone for the fraud but at some stage will banks be  willing to accept a claim for fraud  when they have been given out freely and published on the web for anyone to look at .

Posts on this forum can be viewed by anyone without creating an account or logging in , Maybe i am just to cautious these days  ;)

Banks offer this facility knowing it makes our accounts less secure but they're the ones offering it. You can get the banking details of most business's online. Check out your utility companies.

They're pretty much on the ball saying that. I believe they use algorithms in the same way Google does. I've had a number of queries from my bank when I've made online transactions prior to them confirming it.

Someone who can hack secure websites wont need a code or phone call as the money in the account will have dissappeared before anyone knows
I totally get what you're saying but how come their is always someone on the news when a scam or hack has been revealed saying whatever you do, Do not willing give up your bank account details .

Enjoy your Sunday lads i am off to spend 2-3 hours detailing my new Truck only hope it gets warm enough to put a coat of wax on

They're referring to pin numbers and online passwords.
