The Hybrids are much better, the carbon fiber is stiffer than the glass. Still a little bit on the whippy side, but nowhere near as bad as the glass fiber poles. Great for vertical work, but has enough flex for windows above conservatories etc. Pair it with a light brush and it'll be great  :)

Terrible poles don`t waste your mon ey,i had a 27ft 1 i think it was and it was awfull,i used it for about 4-5 jobs and put it in the back of the van and forgot about it.They are not ridgid at all unlike some will tell you there a different coloured fiberglass pole if you ask me.

In answer to the original question, yes they are much more rigid.  A gf xtel at over 20 ft is like pig on a stick (as someone once described it here).  The hybrids on the other hand are usable.

You get what you pay for though, and the newer carbon poles although much more expensive are like a dream in comparison.

The hybrids are fine, despite what others on here are saying.

I use mine for anything from bedroom window height to four story windows and for the price I cant fault it.

Come and talk dirty to us!!!

I bought RWC's hybrid 31ft, personally i cant fault it,it wears well and with the superlight brush its a lovely pole to use not to much flex with the shortest collapsed length, with the ioincs 20inch brush its whippy though,

Personally I find 17 ft xtel fg with sl brush ideal for domestics. My only concern is how durable it will be.
