Well - no! But my maternal granddad was the local bobby between the wars (WW1/2) and as the younger men were "called up" he had his service extended until the late 1940's (when he was about 50) from then until 65 he did window cleaning to supplement his Police pension in the late 1940's and 1950's. I didn't start until 1996!

So a bit of a gap!
It's a game of three halves!

I can';t beat that.  My father did window cleaning for a few years in the 60s.  He was a bricklayer and builder and got fed up with the trade so he went window cleaning.  Eventually, when they realised what he could do, his customers kept asking him for building jobs so he sold his round and went building again.

I can't compete with you lot as im the only one in my family to ever become a window cleaner.

But my eldest son who is 17 is now a window cleaner but only part time at the moment 3 days a week.
well he has been with me nearly a year.

He now wants his own round,
I think he has had enough of me.
But luckily he cant drive yet but is taking lessons.

I am the only one, but at one point a few years back I had my wife helping along with my two sons and sometimes my daughter!
All growed up and saw sense!
Now me, and the loyal wifey sometimes.

I 'm a thrid generation.

My grandfather and dad were roofers, but my grandad started window cleaning to make life a bit easier.
Then my dad stopped roofing and starting window cleaning.
Then i started working for my dad.

At one point there were all three of us working together!!!!!

My brother cleans aswell!
