Hi All

Some wil be aware that The Price Group was going to be at this years Windex, the reason for the show being postponed is lack of commitment from industry companies, it was the best solution and all companies involved will be behind the decision.

It will give everyone to spend more time getting ready for the show and make it the best show ever, all the companies going plan to have a meeting to make the show better.

The Price Group is 100% behind the show and can't wait for the new show as it is going to be special, well for sure the price group stand will be with its four pricettes!!!!!

I know there would be more support from potential exhibiters if they thought they would be exposed to a different range of punters (professional contractors)

Plus I would not have so far to go :)

Windex is dead unless it moves to London. It's a second rate Cleaning Show at best. Hope this is a lesson to the organisers, the Ricoh is cheap venue for a reason.

I think you need to look at the costs these venues charge.

The show can be located anywhere, but if the suppliers do not recoup their costs for exhibiting, why bother going.

as for excel, it all well and good if you live within the m25, but its a royal pain in the butt, trying to get there by train and tube.

London would be ok if it wasn't so expensive, what about Newcastle or somewhere else for a change of scenery. :)

So, not enough people going?

Or, not enough suppliers attending to attract enough people?

Why would I want to go and visit a show where the biggest stand was sold to a competitor of mine, and yours? JV Price. Yes they supply, but I have no intention of using them as a supplier, as they are a competitior on the window cleaning front.

The list of exhibitors simply was not attractive enough to fill the place with excited prospects, running round with open wallets.

Venue is pretty irrelevant really as "build it and they will come" springs to mind with this...if Gardiners, Purefreedom, and other "preferred" suppliers were there, I'm sure it would have been better attended.

In Short No - although some of our distributors were. I was going to use the show as a chance to catch up with some of the cleaners who use the systems and controls and get some feedback.

This isn't a dig at you, but because you are kind enough to come on here and impart valuable knowledge to us, I can ask you...

I know it's different for you as we are not your customers directly, the various suppliers of equipment are, however, they may be interested to see what you have coming out, or give you some ideas, likewise we, the end user could give feedback to you.

Maybe your mindset is shared by other suppliers who just simply don't see it as a return on investment.

Maybe it's more of a goodwill thing, and for me, the chance to see and play with some toys, well, I'd be spending money, as I'm sure lots of others would.

Truth is, suppliers can't be bothered, neither can I.

Will they lose out? Probably not, as I still need to buy gear from somewhere!

Our Website gives a flavour of what we have coming along in the very near future. I am sure distributors will have most of these on show for you to look at and play with.

As for feed back as a company we need to listen to what people are saying even if we do not supply direct to the end user.

The down side is that it can take time to action some of the common comments and thoughts and it can make it seem we are not taking notice. Or in some cases it may not be possible. I feel being on the forum is invaluable and important a view my Boss shares.

There are some very good suppliers out there and on the whole they listen and feedback to us too so it all a good thing.

I see no harm in giving advice where I can even if people will not always agree and if it is our equipment or not

I respect different points of view to mine and hope that comes across
