I have a strong Oriental appearance and there's not many people who look like me in Chepstow, so I was rather taken aback this morning when a window opened and a customer who I've met on at least three occasions haughtily said, 'Excuse me, can you explain what you're doing?'.

I replied with, 'I'm cleaning your windows, Mrs Sparrow!'

She looked blankly at me, I could see the cogs turning inside her head and she apologised. 

There must be loads of Geordie-Jap window cleaners in Chepstow this time of year!

On rare occasions I get the: "Excuse me, do you mind telling me what you think you're doing?"

My reply:  "Not at all.  I'm waiting for a bus...."

"There's no need to be silly.,..."

"Well, you started it....."

it left them a little lost for words  i do enjoy a little poke at the muppets every now and then tosh lots of orientals here in china town so dont lose sleep  over it dude

Well there is a company around my way called Kung Fu window cleaning  (true).

I used to be called 'Whey-Aye-Banzai', so I was going to call my humble window cleaning business 'Banzai Window Cleaning', but Wor Lass thought it had connotations of 'charging' and being 'quick and heavy handed'.

But I wish I had.
