Where do you buy your rubbers from?
« on: June 17, 2008, 09:11:22 pm »
Over the years I've been purchasing my squeegie rubbers from various places on the 'net, but no-matter how expensive they are, sometimes I find they vary in quality; no-matter what the make is.

So can anyone here reccomend a make and an online seller of good quality, reliable squeegie rubbers?

Unger soft in the winter and Unger hard in the summer.

Unger 3 star  are very good also.

Can't comment on the other brands really except sorbo which are the best by miles and miles but you need a sorbo channel, which only fits sorbo handles and they are pricey and best suited to pole work.

I've used Pulex blades for 25 years with no problems. I buy them from a local supplier (Vanitorials) in Essex.
We have a choice! We can do one or the other, the opposite, both, or neither depending on which way the wind is blowing.

SYR works great for me, loving it, best I've used. Lasts longer then ettorre, but it's got the same nice edge, well 9 for Ettorre, and 8.5 for SYR I would say. Lays nicely in the channel.

Soapnational does them.

Years ago on this forum, before the days of WFP, squeege rubbers were one of the hot topics. It all seems so long ago now.

However, before I go all sentimental, one poster put forward the theory that all the different makes of rubber ie Pulex and Ettore probably came out of the same factory somewhere in the world.

Its not likely that they make the rubbers themselves so the argument had some merit but it caused a lot of discussion at the time.
