They run fine on 12 volt . I tried on 24 but it reeled it in way to fast. I've only a switch at moment. If I decide to run 24v I'll use a trigger switch you squeeze to control speed.

I run it off of twelve volt and it works fine. I tested it on 24v great if you want 100 metres in 10 seconds but if hose is around corner you can't see if any kid or old lady is about . It really is that fast it could pull someone over.

This vid made me chuckle at the end of the vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjwRww0u9aM
Also looks near identical to another brand being sold in the UK  don't you think?  ::)roll

Its good for British industry.

Are they made in Britain though Spruce?
Like most things thesedays they are maufactured in  China as well as those motors too

Now that's an interesting twist Smurf. I just thought that Jordan would have made them in a workshop in the Corby area.

I thought that Jordan was supplying WCW.

.

Spruce the big giveaway is this vid of taking it out of the box https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMlmP43aQvg
Pause the vid after about 9 seconds in so you can see clearly the paper on the lid  he discards very quickly and you will see it has chinese writing on it.

The box has got Window cleaning Warehouse on the side at 27 secs.

The brochure in the box is the same as this one

The website on a 19th April 2015 states that PoweUp is made in the UK

I would imagine the hose reel comes from other climes.

Perfected the electric hose reel now.  The chain isnt coming off and ive added a remote control with a range of 200 metres.  It hasfojr channels,  one for reel one for pump.  Im gonna try to use the third channel for an automated message,  STEP AWAY FROM THE VAN!

I would have thought you could use a 24v supply with a simple voltage regulator switch to control speed then an on/off via remote.

Also a bigger cog on the reel would give a larger ratio slowing it down

That was first attempt. How would I charge the 24v? My battery is linked to my car battery and charges via that. At moment the 12v reels in 100m in 30 seconds. If it went faster I'm worried it could pull someone or thing over if it's around a corner and I'm using remote.

that link pal which option did you buy as ive had the type 1 and 2 but burnt  out as the little relay was only rated at 10 amp then i ordered the type 3 and you can see the pic of the relays are rated at 20amp but i could never get it working properly as every time i turned the supply feed off and then turned it back on the reel would start working away without me pressing the remote!

I brought type 3. Mainly for the key fobs. I can make the relay myself for about a fiver.

RVS Slanggeleider

€ 98,50

These stainless steel hose guide prevents damage to the edges and sides of your bus and also ensures that the hose is not jammed between the door and the car. Itself easy to mount on the side of the reel or on the upper plate of the system.

Stainless steel timber in this limited edition can unfortunately not be competitively-priced, but is not so bad 100 years ...

Thanks Smurf, I was too lazy to look for a translator on the laptop :)
Had a feeling it would be something like that but it's probably crap and certainly not work that amount. €98 for a keyring!

Just clicked the link on my new android phone and it throws up "translate this page".
