Unger Pole Cone/Clamp Assemblies
« on: February 10, 2004, 09:49:04 pm »
Does anyone have an alternative to  locking cone and clamp assemblies for
securing Unger opti-Loc aluminium tube sections.I`ve had a few clamp
assemblies break on me and during cold  wet winter months they slip and
can`t grip etc.I also find the `prongs` soon lose there `give` giving rise to
pole sections slipping easily no matter how tight you turn the cone.I`ve tried
all manner of ideas (I know its `Heath Robinson` perhaps) without any lasting
success.A replacement on average costs around £8. all in.A 13ft pole complete
around £22. Damned nuisance. All ideas forwarded much appreciated.

Try Unger "tele pole "with external screw cones.
