Title: Cleaning between gap bottoms standoff balustrading.
Post by: H MAN on November 20, 2020, 09:00:44 pm
Will allow you to scrub/dust more efficiently
This simple modification will also stop the cleaning cloth from slipping off when cleaning between the gap bottoms of standoff balustrading.

Good find but you didn't say anything until shown what we did.
The thing here is that no one thought to use this to another application.
So tell how would this be used what does it solve??

No need hman - I knew from the other thread you would provide something made of sticky back plastic

I asked you earlier in the week, but yet again you feel the need to start another thread

If you do get this awful sort of work, it's a bit of a get around, it's not ideal - it's a long winded process - ideal if your a bit of a hobbiest - but too slow, and not to the best standard for those in business I'm afraid

Over 11 years on the glass and thousands of jobs completed I can count on one hand the number of times I've encountered  glass balustrades that have a bottom overlap as shown - quite simply they are so rare I wouldn't spend any time working out if they are worth cleaning

Yes you see something similar it ether been done before works the same without even know how it works,
Which is reflected in this comment below.

And also didn't even look at the video because if you did you would of realized did not have any sort of sticky back plastic. to hold the cleaning cloths on.

You might be on the brink of something awesome Hman but this isn’t it.

Keep trying. I like your enthusiasm.  :)

You are right this only something that that cleans small crevice easier that other methods.
The main thing that will change the way window cleaners use there WFPs.
Compact device can be wore  around waist that will allow anyone to use heavy poles with very little effort.
Also at the same time support your back. while using.

There could be a market for the that.

Not so much for us residential cleaners cleaning standard houses, but for commercial work where guys are using 50 foot poles all day on office blocks etc, if it didn’t look like some temporary scaffold poles I think people interested. 👍

It has been done before mind, but it could definitely be improved.

Streamlines version.....

American version

There’s been some other variations.

Yes there are few other version as well.
But they all attached to the pole it self.
The one got in mind is not attach to the pole at all.

I’ve invented a device for gaining height, useful for reaching over gates and using my flickerbacker.
Made of aluminium I’ve called it laddeurz. Small steps at a time but by this time next year I could be lord of the rungs. If that doesn’t work then I’ll make hundreds of dreadful videos and post them on youtube, that way I could make money.
Onward and upwards.
