Richywilts there are loads of vids on the tinternet on about so say softwashing you could look at to see the type of systems being used. One of the more helpful and credible sites to learn about softwashing in the UK is Benz https://www.benzsoftwash.com/ which is packed with useful info and vids how to get started.

In my opinion the use of pressure washers are not ideal with the likes of an x-jet for softwashing vertical surfaces like render walls etc as can create far too much chemical drift.
Best practice now seems to be using a wfp either with a spray tip or wfp brush attached so can spray close/directly to the surface so reduces the amount of chems used and overspray/drift dramaticaly unlike using an pw x-jet spraying chems upwards from the ground.

You can kill stuff doing it; dogs, cats, fish, plants!
Guy I know did his mum's place and brushed all the chemical into the road and down the drain. Problem was he used it neat and didn't rinse it properly. Next morning he'd bleached all the tarmac on the pavement and the road white ;D
