Posted by Ken_Wainwright (Ken Wainwright), 21 December 2003This time next week it'll all be over, so before it's too late, I'd like to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy and prosperous New Year.
Safe and happy cleaning
Mark, judging by your greeting, it looks like you've been watching the film Home Alone a few too many times
Don't forget your Income Tax is due by 31st January
Posted by MB (Mark Betts), 21 December 2003hahahaha and the prize goes too......... Ken.
Posted by Derek (Derek Bolton), 21 December 2003kenneth, you mentioned Tax matters.
Have you read in the papers today that our 'beloved' Chancellor has discovered that he has created a tax loophole by giving single Director Limited Company's certain tax advantages.
Oh Dear me....I could see this coming a mile off.
Those of you who have gone Limited, would be advised to get any dividends out within the current tax year.. that if you have enough to draw a dividend.
The Chancellor,Gordon Brown, doesn't give anything away.... he's a canny Scot.
What he has done is drawn a lot of self employed people into the tax net where he can keep an eye on them... that's my theory anyway.
There has been a loophole for years whereby a dividend doesn't attract NIC payments... that'll go for certain.
Oh, I forgot.... A Merry Christmas to you all
