Carpet Cleaning Issues - Carpet construction, upholstery cleaning, stain removal, equipment, events, etc.
Posted by mike_halliday (mike_halliday), 13 March 2004I know this has nothing to do with carpet cleaning but I thought I'd ask just for a laugh
if you were having a dinner party and you could invite 5 people( Living or dead, fact or fiction) who would you invite?
mine would be:
its harder than you think
Posted by Dynafoam (Dynafoam), 13 March 2004Mike,
Yes, it is surprisingly hard.
I would have:
Joanna Lumley † † †(love that voice)
David Belamy † † † †(never mind the voice)
Prof. Robert Winston
My younger daughter (who would stop conversation getting too heavy)
Posted by Scots_cleaner (Scots_cleaner), 13 March 2004Hi mike,
The dinner party would include the following:-
Jock Stein (Manager of the first british club to win the UEFA CUP )
Celtic F.C 1967
My Dead Uncle John( Bless his Sole)
and last but not least
Maggie Thatcher so we could burn her....... Opps did i say that .....
Sorry miners son and all that.......
Posted by lenpg (Len Gribble), 13 March 2004Hi Mike
Mine would be
Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) in the words of 10cc Iím in love
Todd Carty (East enders what a gent)
Mother in law
The Cook (wife)
Sham you didnít extend it to six or seven one of them would have been you.
Barry not being a football person which British club won the UEFA Cup? No joke; if itís Arsenal or Man U I donít want a reply, as I have to listen to my wife and brother-in-law every Sunday lunchtime in the working mans club, if itís another that would make my day.
Posted by SMP (SMP), 13 March 2004Hi Mike,
You're right it's not easy but here goes:-
Rachel De Thame (ask my wife )
Chris Beardshaw (the BBC flying gardener - if a ****** gardener can get to fly round in a helicopter and get paid for it he can tell the secret to operating the first Helicopter Mount in the UK )
John Brown ( deceased leader of the labour party - I wouldn't say I particularly support labours views but that chap had real charisma - I reckon he would have been a damm good PM).
MY WIFE - if Rachel's coming there's no way my wife will let me out without a chaperone!!!!
Posted by Ken_Wainwright (Ken Wainwright), 14 March 2004After much thought, I'd like to make the evenings conversation as interesting and heated as possible. So I'd have:
Just light the touch paper and take a few steps back
Safe and happy
Posted by Ian_G. (Ian_Gourlay), 14 March 2004Mr Bean would be a good one as when I had a shop he and his mate Steve Fry turned up on Christmas as customers and had the place in stiches.
I would also have to invite Tony Blair Chere and Carol as Ive been round their place for drinks.
Whoops thats five and I have not got to Paul McCartney and Nicol Kidman
